Fulton Dam Access Staircase Replacement

Department of Fisheries and Oceans contracted our team to replace a staircase situated on a cliff providing maintenance access to the valve house of the Fulton Dam. The Robson team used a combination of helicopters, cranes and rope systems to complete the work.

Thirteen footings were cast into the rock slope with intricate scribe work and creative anchoring solutions were used to overcome geotechnical challenges. The project included demolition of the old staircase, design and installation of the new staircase and timber framed roof.
